Responsibilities
Communicate job expectations and coach/counsel direct reports.
Supervise assigned associates in the Sewing department on 1st shift to achieve maximum production, quality, and cost control.
Monitor the flow of production, provide training and counseling, resolve issues, create production reports, and track attendance.
Ensure safety standards, quality of work, and company policies are maintained while processing assigned orders within shipping requirements.
Support all internal and external customers by meeting all service requirements and expectations.
Communicate with all levels of personnel and be trained on several different tasks in the department to fill in where needed.
How You Will Make a Difference As a Customization Supervisor in Sewing, you will focus on training, quality control, and safety, managing a team and optimizing the production process. You will ensure product standards are met by training employees, troubleshooting machinery, and enforcing safety regulations. Supervisors also improve efficiency by managing schedules, reassigning workers, and collaborating with other departments.
Skills for Success
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Three years’ experience in a customization or distribution environment is preferred.
One (1) or more years of supervisory/leadership experience required.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Excel, and Word).
Strong communication skills (oral, written – fluent in English), strong interpersonal skills, and strong basic math skills.
Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.
High attention to detail and quality, and able to flourish in a fast‑paced environment.
Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to work with others positively.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, work overtime, and/or weekends if needed.
