Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Project Manager specialized in Tableau Dashboard design and implementation to lead data visualization projects and drive business insights. The role includes managing project life cycles, designing dashboards, ensuring data quality, and delivering timely, accurate reports.
Responsibilities
Define and scope Tableau BW projects, design and deliver tailored solutions.
Query data, utilize Tableau to visualize, analyze, and convey insights.
Develop interactive dashboards and scorecards using guided analytics best practices.
Perform data mapping, extraction, transformation to support automated weekly reporting.
Collect, analyze, and summarize data and trends to provide project status reports.
Recommend IT strategies, policies, and procedures based on organization outcomes and trend evaluation.
Direct and coordinate project team activities across project phases to meet objectives for small to medium-sized projects.
Forecast requirements, prepare annual budgets, schedule expenditures, and analyze variances to meet financial objectives.
Coordinate resources and timetables to complete projects with user departments.
Conduct system audits to verify application results and maintain quality service by enforcing standards.
Coordinate overall communication and status reporting to internal customers and stakeholders.
Formulate and deliver formal and informal presentations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related discipline; 4+ years in an IT organization, including 1+ year as an IT Project Manager focusing on Tableau Dashboard design and/or software development/implementation projects.
Proficient verbal, written, and presentation skills; communicates clearly and confidently.
Active listening and negotiating skills.
Ability to develop and coordinate cross‑functional work groups and projects yielding optimal outcomes.
Sound organizational, planning, analytical, and problem‑solving skills; can recommend and participate in solution implementations.
Proficiency in project management software/tools such as MS Project, Primavera.
Experience in requirement gathering/analysis, design, development, testing, and production rollover of reporting and analysis projects.
Experience with Tableau for data extraction from SAP R/3, SAP BW, Maximo, legacy data, and external benchmarking data.
Ability to identify data quality gaps, develop plans to close gaps, develop extraction programs, and schedule extracts for weekly and monthly reports.
Ability to perform Tableau calculations and apply complex, compound calculations to large, complex data sets.
Experience troubleshooting performance issues associated with Tableau reports.
Experience building queries and workbooks and preparing end‑user training documents.
Experienced data analyst to lead financial review, budgeting, and reporting efforts while partnering with field leaders to translate operational data into actionable financial insights.
Strong analytical rigor, clear communication, and proven ability to manage budgets and deliver timely, accurate financial reports.
Ability to query data, Excel, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, big‑picture thinker.
