The position provides direct support to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and is responsible for overseeing the general activities of the Shipping/Receiving areas including incoming/outgoing traffic, inventory control and inspection, maintenance of company vehicles and some parts delivery.
Responsibilities
Monitor and coordinate incoming traffic and line‑out trucks for offloading and/or loading
Unload trucks and assist suppliers in unloading
Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, counts items, weighs, measures, records shortages, rejects damaged
Verify identifying information of incoming shipments against bills of lading, purchase orders, packaging slips, materials
Input received items into company ERP
Scan all required traceability
Prepare and package product for outgoing shipments
Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure products and documentation meet requirements
Route items to departments
Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
Complete shipping, receiving and material transactions in ERP system
Operate forklift truck or use hand truck to move shipments from platform to storage or work area
Receive, inspect and tag incoming production material and related documentation
Schedule finished goods and packing preparation and shipping documents cost effectively
Organize the shipping/receiving areas and general yard storage areas
Oversee and maintain company inventory and develop reports for the department
Required Skills & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Excellent organizational skills
1‑3 years of experience as a material handler, shipping or receiving technician or similar
Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and 5‑S
Familiar with ISO, API, and ASTM certification
Mechanical aptitude with ability to work in a team
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products and ERP systems
Physical Demands
Onsite presence required
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
Stand, walk, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
Close vision, color vision, depth perception required
Work Environment / Conditions
50% outdoors and 50% indoors in a smoke‑free office and manufacturing
Limited travel to support offsite personnel and business
Occasional assignments may include evening or weekend work
