Business Development Associate – Equipment Financing

$50,000–$60,000 base + Uncapped Commission | Hybrid • Maple Shade, NJ About the Opportunity

This is a strong entry‑level business development role for someone who wants to break into financial services sales, work with small businesses, and build a long‑term career in a fast‑growing industry. You’ll be joining a high‑performing team that provides small business loans and equipment financing nationwide. The company is backed by a major, well‑established lender, which means you get the benefit of a stable organization plus the energy and growth of a scaling team. If you’re competitive, motivated by money, curious, and someone who loves building relationships, this role gives you a clear pathway to Senior BD roles while earning unlimited commission. What You’ll Be Doing

Prospect new partners (equipment sellers & small‑business providers) and build relationships from the ground up. Qualify leads, book meetings, and hand off strong opportunities to senior sales leaders. Onboard new partners and help them understand how to use the company’s financing programs. Educate dealer sales teams on working capital and equipment finance options. Become the go‑to contact for partner questions, applications, and deal support. Maintain an active, moving pipeline of approvals, applications, and opportunities. Work cross‑functionally with underwriting, funding, and sales leadership to get deals across the finish line. Track activity, report progress, and help identify new ways to grow partner relationships. What They’re Looking For

1+ years of sales or BD experience (financial services background is a huge plus). Strong phone presence and willingness to prospect daily. Relationship‑builder who can quickly earn trust with small‑business owners. Comfortable in a fast‑moving, metrics‑driven environment. Resilient – you can handle rejection and bounce back fast. Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple moving pieces. Motivated by growth, commission, and long‑term advancement. Why This Role Is a Great Move

Uncapped earning potential – monthly commissions + annual bonus. A clear growth path into senior sales, territory ownership, or enterprise accounts. A hybrid schedule once you’ve completed training. Strong benefits package (medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, 401(k) match, PTO). Training, mentorship, and the chance to become an expert in a highly valuable niche: small business financing. This is the kind of role where the harder you work, the faster you grow – both in income and career progression.
