Quality Supervisor - Food Manufacturing (West Coast)
Base pay range: $75,000 – $110,000 per year.
This role is hosted by Jamal Elkhateib through Jobot. Salary is based on experience and skills.
Overview We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead our Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) efforts within our production and distribution facilities. This role requires a proactive leader skilled in implementing and maintaining FSQA systems, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to industry and internal safety standards. If you are a hands‑on supervisor with a background in food manufacturing and a passion for driving excellence in food safety, this opportunity is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the FSQA Manager to implement FSQA systems, processes and procedures across facility and distribution sites.
Conduct scheduled food safety audits and monitor compliance with GMPs and regulatory standards.
Manage corrective actions and continuous initiatives on the production floor.
Ensure sanitation standards and supplier compliance, including sanitizer use and PPE availability.
Perform environmental monitoring and swabbing, document and trend data.
Deliver food safety training, update SOPs, and manage training documentation.
Record, trend and analyze customer complaints; provide insights for improvement.
Support mock recall exercises and maintain recall documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or a related field (preferred).
4–7 years of experience in quality control, food safety auditing or quality assurance in food manufacturing.
Experience supervising quality or food safety teams (strong advantage).
HACCP certification preferred; familiarity with FDA, USDA and Department of Health standards preferred.
Strong organizational, problem‑solving, analytical, and Microsoft Office skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills.
Adaptability and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
