Responsibilities
The Team Manager of Mobile Crisis provides daily operational and clinical supervision for Astra Mental Health and Recovery’s Mobile Crisis Response Team, ensuring timely, trauma-informed, and person-centered crisis intervention services in community settings.
Reporting to the Program Manager of Adult Crisis Services, this position oversees staff who provide on-site, in-home, and field-based response for individuals of all ages experiencing behavioral health crises. The Team Manager ensures that services meet the standards of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model, comply with Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) regulations, and reflect Astra’s trauma-informed, culturally responsive care philosophy.
This role plays a vital part in Astra’s 24/7 crisis system, coordinating staff response, maintaining safety, supporting field operations, and promoting collaboration with law enforcement, emergency medical services, and hospitals to ensure compassionate and effective care for individuals in crisis.
Requirements Education and Licensure
Master’s or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health discipline (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy).
Licensed in the State of Kansas as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)—LSCSW, LCP, LPC, LMFT—or equivalent clinical license.
Must successfully pass Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI), Central Registry, and all required background checks.
Valid Kansas driver’s license, good driving record, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation required.
Experience
Knowledge of CCBHC standards, KDADS regulations, and local crisis system protocols.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in crisis intervention, emergency behavioral health, or community-based response.
Prior leadership, shift supervision, or coordination experience preferred.
Familiarity with trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and person-centered crisis services.
Salary Range $81,450 - $116,350
Hours Variable schedule to ensure supervision coverage of daytime, evening, and weekend shifts; flexibility required.
