The Department of Corrections Reentry and Rehabilitation Division is looking for a dedicated individual to fill the position of Correctional Program Administrator for the Central Utah Correctional Facility. Principal Duties

Represent the Department of Corrections Reentry and Rehabilitation Substance Use Division in responding to escalated complaints. Represent the agency with federal, state, and local government units, in the media, or with private organizations. Respond to Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) records requests in accordance with state and federal laws. Develop, direct, and evaluate the program this position supervises. Coordinate and implement policy and procedure changes. Participate in reviewing and implementing clinical evidence based treatment and monitor fidelity. Supervise subordinate personnel including: hiring, determining workload, delegating assignments, training, monitoring, evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions. Will have a Masters or PHD in counseling or social work. The model candidate for this position is someone who has years of supervisor (or related) experience. Has been fully licensed for a minimum of 5 years. Has excellent personal skills and deals with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism. Has the ability to research and apply applicable laws, rules, regulations and/or policies and procedures. Has the ability to use appropriate grammar, tone, and language in written responses. Handles stress calmly and professionally. Enjoys motivating people and working as a team. Develops objectives and specifies the strategies and actions to achieve these objectives. Supervise a multidisciplinary team including licensed mental health clinicians and caseworkers. Audit program effectiveness and research most up to date practice in effective substance use treatment. HR responsibilities including recruitment, hiring, and any disciplinaries. Collaborate with others in the Department holding the same role. Conduct fidelity checks and coaching sessions with staff when needed/appropriate. Train staff on the Therapeutic Community and monitor for adherence to these principles. Develop and maintain relationships with DPO partners. Contributing member of various Department committees. Must be knowledgeable in:

ASAM patient placement criteria. DOPL and scope of practice. Extensive knowledge and skill diagnosing utilizing DSM V TR Substance Use and Mental Health Disorders. Ability to network with other Department divisions. Ability to survey substance use programs and content on a wide variety of levels to assure that evidenced based practices and up to date research is guiding the quality of services implemented. Must pass a thorough background investigation. This position is NOT public safety certified and does not require peace officer status or certification. Actual rate per hour will be determined by evaluation of qualifications and skills of the individual and the availability of monies through budget or by following DHRM rule.
