Quality Technician – DEPCOM Power

Job Summary At DEPCOM Power, we design, build, and operate some of the largest and most efficient solar plants for leading utility companies and asset owners. Our team of experts has executed over $4 billion in projects, consistently meeting commercial operation schedules and energy output guarantees. As part of Koch Engineered Solutions, we are looking for ambitious and entrepreneurial‑spirited professionals to help us grow the renewable energy sector.
Responsibilities
Support the quality team in ensuring the site meets DEPCOM and customer quality standards
Inspect predrilled hole sizes and depth
Inspect piles installed in predrill areas and non‑predrill areas, checking tolerance from drawings (e.g., twists, height, plumbness)
Inspections of all galvanization material
Walk entire arrays to check torque values from the racking installation, ensuring correct installation process
Take pictures and measure depths and lengths of trenches
Inspect proper heights and widths of cable installation
Ensure correct amount of backfill material is used
Physical Demands
Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
Good physical stamina for field inspections
Basic Qualifications
Experience working with solar PV or BESS system installation quality inspections
Familiarity with civil, mechanical, and electrical aspects of solar projects
Ability to perform in‑process inspections and final quality checks
Proficiency in documenting inspection results, identifying defects, and generating quality reports
Proficiency in drawing interpretation and knowledge of design standards
Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles and inspection methodologies
Ability to identify non‑conformities and collaborate with teams to implement corrective actions
Strong awareness of safety protocols
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 10 or 30‑hour safety training
Two years of experience in quality inspections or photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems
