This position includes the routine analysis of laboratory samples of raw materials and in-process and finished Innospec products, the proper use of instrumentation and test methods, and timely communication with Production and other departments.

Responsibilities

Follow all applicable Safety and Quality requirements conforming to EFfCI/ISO standards 9001 (Quality) / 14001 (Environmental) / 45001 (Safety) / 18001 (Safety).

Perform routine analysis of raw materials, in-process and finished products including daily checks for required instrumentation.

Perform calculations for batch adjustments without direct supervision.

Work a shift without direct supervision.

Assist with inventory management and ordering.

Basic Instrumentation Use/Knowledge (Capable of using basic/complex instrumentation).

Intermediate Test Method Knowledge.

Intermediate Product Knowledge.

Communicating results to production.

Perform wastewater adjustments (High Point only).

Packaged Material Inspections.

Boiler Water analysis.

Instructs and trains QC Associate Chemists

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (Science field)-Chemistry preferred

Must have basic computer skills including familiarity with spread sheet programs

0-2 years of job experience, manufacturing laboratory experience

Capable of communicating and relating to employees at all levels of the company

Capable of walking and standing for long periods of time
