Responsibilities
Initiate automotive services and repairs by assessing vehicle performance problems and service requests.
Verify warranty and service contract coverage.
Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor and calculating customer payments, including deductibles.
Write and file repair orders (RO), obtain approval signatures, and enter RO into the service database.
Act as communicator and liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring needs and recommendations are understood.
Communicate additional repair and service needs based on vehicle inspection.
Administer manufacturer warranties for qualifying repairs.
Keep customers informed of service specials, completion times, and service expenses.
Qualifications
Previous Service Advisor experience preferred.
Prior experience as an automotive technician a plus.
Team player focused on providing exemplary customer service.
Basic mechanical understanding of automobile systems.
Acceptable driving record and valid driver's license in state of residence.
