Stockroom Specialist

Position Summary The Stockroom Specialist is responsible for managing inventory accuracy, organizing materials, and ensuring timely availability of parts and supplies. This role supports Manufacturing, Operations, and other departments by maintaining a well-structured stockroom, executing material transactions, and upholding safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Inventory Management
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials.
Accurately enter inventory transactions in ERP or inventory systems.
Perform cycle counts and support physical inventory audits.
Monitor stock levels and notify supervisor of shortages, discrepancies, or excess inventory.
Material Handling & Organization
Label, tag, and store materials in assigned stockroom locations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom environment.
Prepare and issue materials to production teams following established procedures.
Use material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, carts) safely and efficiently.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate records of material movement, discrepancies, and adjustments.
Follow company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.
Support compliance company-specific audits.
Cross Functional Support
Collaborate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality to resolve material issues.
Assist with kitting, staging, and replenishment for production lines.
Participate in continuous improvement activities and process updates.
Qualifications Required
Have high school diploma or equivalent.
Have experience in inventory control, stockroom operations, or warehouse environments.
Have an ability to lift 40+lbs., stand/walk for extended periods, and safely operate material handling equipment.
Have strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Have basic computer skills, familiarity with ERP or inventory systems.
Preferred
Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments.
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
Knowledge of lean.
