Position Summary We are seeking a Technical Quality Specialist to support the Service Engineering team with data analysis, technical quality investigations, and engineering change (rework) documents for Sungrow’s PV products. This role is ideal for someone early in their engineering or quality career who enjoys analytical problem‑solving, cross‑functional teamwork, and hands‑on exposure to real‑world field issues. The TQ Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Technical Quality Engineering function through structured quality data analysis. Key duties include warranty performance tracking, spare‑parts consumption analysis, identification of emerging quality trends, and preparation of preliminary quality alerts for escalation to the CoE and Field Service teams.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Assist with quality trending, including analyzing warranty tickets, component‑level risks and recommending parts planning adjustments.

Provide quality alert to CoE and field service teams with contingency plans on solutions and materials.

Assist in generating ad hoc data analysis for PV performance, failure trends, and component risks.

Help to prepare weekly and monthly reports to management on findings and recommendations.

Participate in on‑site quality checks and provide training support to service vendors as needed.

Prepare summaries of potential or emerging quality concerns and ongoing failure trends.

Support communication with HQ teams to track RCA progress and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Track all quality issues and push for deliverables for all stakeholders and eventually a engineering change (rework) release.

Maintain records, reports, photos, and data related to engineering changes and field quality cases.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Fleet Rework Manager.

Minimum Requirements

1–2+ years of experience in solar, electrical engineering, quality, or related technical fields (PV experience strongly preferred).

Mandarin speaking is a plus.

Strong analytical skills with basic understanding of quality or engineering fundamentals.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Experience with Airtable is a plus.

Ability to analyze issues, evaluate potential risks, and support problem‑solving efforts.

Ability to participate in occasional off‑hours meetings with HQ or other regions.

Ability to support multi‑tasking in a fast‑paced environment.

Education Or Desired License And Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Competencies

Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking, strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software, including Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VBA), Python (with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib for data manipulation and visualization), SQL for querying databases, or similar tools for handling large datasets.

Hands‑on experience with data‑driven problem‑solving, such as analyzing failure trends, warranty data, or component performance in a technical setting.

Self‑starter with initiative and willingness to learn, insight from statistical analysis methods, such as trend analysis, regression, failure rate calculations, and risk assessment to identify emerging quality issues and component risks.

Clear communicator with strong teamwork mindset, effective communication skills for collaborating with cross‑functional teams (e.g., CoE, Field Service, HQ), presenting data insights, and pushing for deliverables from stakeholders.

Organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive.

Interest or experience in risk assessment and change management.

Ability to work independently while supporting cross‑functional teams.

Travel

About 15% travel for field investigations and adaptability to hands‑on exposure in real‑world PV environments.
