Transportation Engineer minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of practical design experience in transportation engineering, highway design, and local street design. Candidates with additional experience are encouraged to apply.
PE license in WI.
Knowledge of WisDOT design and standards is highly preferred.
Experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D software is a significant advantage.
Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members is necessary.
Transportation Engineer responsibilities include:
Project oversight including setting priorities and developing objectives, project financial management as well as hands‑on involvement in the design process.
Business development activities including proposal preparation, project interviews/presentations, and client management.
The ability to serve as a technical resource for a multi‑disciplined team.
Project engineering and management.
Professional society involvement.
