KENT WORLDWIDE™ has a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Regulatory Specialist. The Regulatory Specialist will be involved in all aspects of Regulatory Compliance for all KENT Consumer Brands facilities. This includes, but is not limited to, creating ingredient statements, creating nutrition panels, naming of finished product, creating product specifications, managing ingredient supplier documentation. The individual will keep up and be knowledgeable with all current food regulations of the US FDA and USDA. The individual will also ensure formula and label compliance in international markets, with a strong focus on Canada and Mexico.
The compensation range for this role is $65,000 to $95,000 in addition to KENT standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain ingredient declarations and nutrition panels for new and existing products.
Create, manage, and update regulatory documentation (e.g., allergen, GMO, Country of Origin, % range breakdown, customer questionnaires, gluten, natural, SDS).
Stay current with FDA and USDA food labeling regulations; communicate updates and pending changes to relevant departments.
Oversee regulatory compliance for exported products.
Prepare, review, and update product specifications in coordination with Marketing and Sales.
Design and approve labels for new and existing items; proof all printed and in-line packaging prior to final production.
Maintain ingredient files and obtain required documentation from suppliers.
Provide regulatory support to internal teams and external customers.
Mentor junior team members and offer guidance across departments and facilities.
Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Science area or equivalent work experience.
3 years work experience with a focus on Regulatory Compliance, Nutrition, Research & Development and/or Quality.
Good computer skills (Product Vision software knowledge a plus)
