Position Summary Lead, develop, and execute large‑scale engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract sourcing strategies aligned with business stakeholder priorities for projects typically greater than $250M. Utilize construction project contract expertise to procure construct EPC/turnkey contracts and implement strategies to achieve project savings targets. Develop strategies and negotiate commercial terms and contracts with suppliers. Manage risk mitigation and post‑award contract management plans, including KPIs and supplier reviews to optimize successful project execution.

Essential Responsibilities

Execute contracting and procurement strategy for large‑scale capital projects ($250M+), develop cost models and project justifications, define technical bid requirements, and lead bid evaluation teams to analyze proposals and award business.

Apply expert contract knowledge and ensure efficient project delivery management; manage contractor training and compliance with corporate policies.

Lead complex negotiations with a team on contracts, analyze, verify, and negotiate modifications, and independently resolve complex disputes and contract adjustments.

Create and manage project plans for sourcing goods and services; integrate sourcing with business project plans and communicate status to senior leadership.

Lead post‑award contract management plans, manage supplier performance, and collaborate with Category Managers to support project needs.

Develop and lead capital project risk management strategies, apply contract law knowledge, and manage project contract agreements and insurance documentation.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.

Eight years of purchasing or sourcing experience, including construction project contract experience.

Expert contract knowledge, including regulatory and tax implications; advanced negotiation and project management skills.

Advanced expertise in sourcing and supply‑chain management principles.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and significant experience with purchasing and sourcing systems.

Results‑oriented, customer‑focused, strong interpersonal, relationship, and presentation skills.

Up to 20% travel; driver’s license required.

Preferred Requirements

Utility industry experience.

Contract administration experience related to construction services.

EPC construction contracting experience.
