This opportunity is doing Railcar Repair with Dimec Rail Services, a division of A. Stucki that services and repairs railcars, providing mobile welding, running repairs, hopper cleaning, derailment, and other services.
Duties / Responsibilities
Inspect railcars and document noted defects per the AAR Field Manual. Perform needed repairs based on findings from inspections. Using a torch, will heat, bend, and cut metal as needed to perform repairs in accordance with AAR Rules. After proper certification, will make needed welds to railcars in compliance with AAR Rules and Regulations. After proper training, will perform Air Brake testing in compliance with Publication S-486. Document repairs on Billing Repair Cards. Perform inventory and ordering of materials as needed. Other job duties and responsibilities that arise within the parameters of this position. Skills / Experience Requirements
Experience in cutting and welding functions. Experience with hand tools. Prolonged periods of working outside, standing, squatting, and walking. Working in the elements outside throughout the year and in various conditions. Pay: $18-$22 per hour To Apply
