Responsibilities Job Summary:
The Inventory Clerk Lead – Level 4 oversees daily inventory operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely material availability to support production. This role directs and mentors inventory clerks, manages stock levels, leads physical counts, and resolves discrepancies. The Lead fosters a high‑performance, safety‑conscious team environment while promoting continuous improvement and adherence to Panasonic’s core principles.
Essential Duties:
Functional Operations:
Operate and maintain tools and equipment within functional area
Ability to work all scheduled shift hours
Coordinate activities of clerks to ensure accurate entry of receipts, transfers, usage, and adjustments
Monitor lot tracking, component usage, min/max levels, and scrap/recovery processes
Oversee weekly spare parts reconciliations and validate inventory balance, safety stock, demand rate, and shortage reports
Lead monthly, year‑end, and cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies
Performance Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
Promote 6S and Lean practices to maintain safe, organized, and efficient work areas
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and workflow efficiency
Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, safety awareness, and adherence to Panasonic’s core principles
Training & Team Support:
Assign and adjust staffing schedules, ensuring coverage during absences or downtime
Train, mentor, and motivate others at the same or lower level within functional area, fostering accountability and compliance with standards
No authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, reward, or discipline other employees
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Communication:
Coordinate with production, maintenance, and engineering to resolve material or quality issues
Support requisitions and ensure timely material availability to meet production schedules
Communicate effectively with other Leads and stakeholders through meetings, reports, and end‑of‑shift updates
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
Quality, Safety, & Compliance:
Report quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions where needed
Support audits, inspections, and compliance with regulatory, industry, and customer standards
Support proper implementation of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
To ensure health and safety in the workplace and for employee protection, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. A respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

Qualifications Education
Required:
High School Diploma, GED, or 2 years of prior experience in functional area
Preferred:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Essential Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a fast‑paced high‑volume manufacturing environment
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and team leadership skills
Safety‑conscious mindset with ability to make independent, sound decisions
Demonstrated ability to positively influence culture and performance
Ability to pass certification for forklift, electric pallet jack, and manual pallet jack
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and report generation
Must have working‑level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English

Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment
Prior experience as a Shift Lead, Team Lead, or similar role
Experience in lithium‑ion battery or related industries
