We are looking for a talented Residential Landscape & Hardscape Professional to help homeowners transform their outdoor spaces into beautiful, functional extensions of their homes. This role focuses on creating inviting yards, patios, gardens, and outdoor living areas that enhance comfort, curb appeal, and long‑term property value. Responsibilities
Residential Landscaping
Design and install plant beds, gardens, shrubs, trees, and lawn areas tailored to each homeowner’s style and property conditions.
Provide ongoing landscape maintenance including pruning, mulching, fertilizing, and seasonal cleanups.
Recommend plant selections based on sunlight, soil, drainage, and long‑term growth patterns.
Install and maintain residential irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering.
Residential Hardscaping
Build patios, walkways, driveways, retaining walls, steps, and other structural features using pavers, stone, brick, or concrete.
Construct outdoor living elements such as fire pits, seating walls, garden borders, and small water features.
Ensure all hardscape installations are level, durable, and visually cohesive with the home’s architecture.
Operate equipment such as compactors, saws, skid steers, and grading tools safely and effectively.
Client Interaction & Project Execution
Ability to communicate with homeowners to understand their goals, preferences, and budget.
Provide clear recommendations, material options, and design ideas that suit residential lifestyles.
Maintain clean, organized job sites with minimal disruption to the homeowner’s daily routine.
Communicate progress, timelines, and any changes in a professional, friendly manner.
Maintenance & Repairs
Diagnose issues with existing landscapes or hardscapes and provide practical solutions.
Perform repairs on patios, walkways, drainage systems, and plantings as needed.
Qualifications
1–3+ years of experience in residential landscaping and/or hardscaping.
Possesses a valid NC Driver’s License and is insurable by company insurance carriers (at least last 3 years of clean record).
Strong understanding of horticulture, grading, drainage, and outdoor construction methods.
Ability to read simple design plans or sketches and translate them into finished work.
Physical stamina and comfort working outdoors year‑round. Must be able to work for long periods of physical activity, including but not limited to‑bending, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling & squatting.
Proficiency with landscaping tools, power equipment, and small machinery.
Ability to safely handle truck & trailer combination/ large dump bed trucks (non CDL).
Demonstrated ability for safe and proper operation of basic landscaping equipment including hand tools, small electric power tools, tillers, foot & plate tamps, concrete chop saws, compact equipment (Dingo & attachments), and skid‑steer loader.
Demonstrated skill and ability in customer service communication and interaction.
Familiar with standard company & industry best management practices in the landscape construction field.
Must be able to work around bees, poisonous plants, pollen and other environmental hazards.
Salary & Benefits $17 - $22 an hour
