Job Description and Position Requirements The Interlibrary Loan team seeks a responsible and customer‑service oriented individual to join our borrowing operations as a Delivery Services Specialist, to support our world campus and office delivery services. Interlibrary Loan is located in the Paterno Library, and the ILL office operating hours are from 8:00 to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Verifying patron eligibility/status via the Penn State directory and user accounts.
Checking out requested items to patron accounts.
Preparing and processing requested materials for shipment.
Communicating with users about status of accounts/requests.
Familiarity with library systems, policies, and procedures.
Ability to complete tasks in an efficient manner.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Schedule
20-24 hours per week.
Afternoon availability is preferred.
3-5 days a week.
Background Checks / Clearances Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
Campus Security Crime Statistics Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
