Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) Supervisor
This is a full‑time, 40‑hour a week salary position. The schedule is Monday‑Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Overview The NFP Supervisor uses principles of supervision, reflective practice, and staff development to provide primary support and oversight to nurse home visitors. The supervisor fosters a strength‑based, client‑centered culture and ensures the program serves first‑time mothers from pregnancy through their child’s second birthday. The role works within the local community and leads the agency structure to assure implementation of the NFP Program in accordance with guidelines and contract requirements.
Responsibilities
Provide supervision and management of nurse home visitors, including staff training and evaluation.
Assign client caseloads and monitor nurse home visitors’ ability to build and manage caseloads.
Offer developmental feedback and develop plans with staff to address performance and resolve issues.
Build confidence and skill of nurse home visitors.
Develop and maintain community referral sources for the NFP Program.
Utilize agency policies and procedures or develop needed policy and procedures to guide implementation.
Oversee and ensure timely and accurate data input and utilization of web‑based reports and other available reports.
Ensure implementation of quality improvement strategies.
Use motivational interviewing, coaching, and reflective practice principles in supervision.
Develop and implement regular reflective practice supervision and conduct field visits as recommended by NFP.
Provide regular case conferences and team meetings as recommended by NFP.
Assist nurse home visitors in analyzing complex problems and case situations.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization during critical activities.
Reporting Relationships
Directly supervised by the Director of Early Childhood Services.
Workers Supervised
Manage three (3) NFP Nurse Home Visitors.
Interrelationships
Work in cooperation with staff and corporate partners.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
Work Experience
Experience in public or community health, home visitation, and maternal/child health services with emphasis on pre‑ and post‑natal care and early childhood development.
Experience in program management and one‑on‑one supervision including reflective practices.
Proven success working with diverse populations, communities, and organizations.
Licensure and Certification
Current Registered Nursing (RN) license in good standing.
Skills
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to build self‑efficacy and practice strengths‑based, solution‑focused nursing.
Willingness to engage in building reflective practice.
Proficiency in computer use and keyboarding.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Knowledge of HIPAA and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Experience with family/participant services centered on family‑centered and strength‑based models.
Ability to manage self and environment calmly in stressful situations.

Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours as needed.

Work Environment This position involves exposure to customer/patient elements and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
