Quality Assurance Technician – 2nd Shift

The candidate will ensure products manufactured at Lindt & Sprüngli USA meet or exceed L&S standards for quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance through development, follow‑up, and improvement of audit processes, policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities
Sample and test raw materials, semi‑finished products, and finished products to ensure compliance with L&S specifications and standards using analytical, sensory and microbiological methods.
Execute all analytical laboratory functions for the main production facility and serve as backup for the cocoa liquor facility.
Release products and manage non‑conformances.
Operate, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
Manage the sample retention program for raw materials, semi‑finished and finished products.
Support the implementation of new equipment and technologies, including validation and verification activities.
Ensure compliance with all ISO and third‑party quality and food safety standards.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain proper documentation, file inspection reports and other records to ensure compliance with L&S requirements.
Communicate test results verbally and in writing, ensuring timely disposition of raw materials and products.
Interface with Purchasing and Manufacturing supervisors to enforce quality standards and manage the non‑conformance process.
General Duties
Cross‑train current and new QA technicians on basic analytical tests.
Perform general lab cleaning, maintain consumable inventory, and order consumables for the entire lab.
Assist with QA and R&D related projects as assigned.
Participate in Lindt Production Way (LPW) teams.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
HACCP and PCQI certifications preferred.
Other Requirements
2nd shift – 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm EST.
Required to work weekends and occasional off shifts.
Total Rewards Compensation Range: $23 – $30 per hour.
Lindt USA’s salary range reflects market rates based on our size, revenue, and location. Starting pay is determined using a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, job‑related skills, knowledge, and experience as well as market conditions. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive may be included as part of this compensation package.
