Sr. Global Category Manager, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Power and Cooling (PAC) Procurement and Supply Chain AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure—supporting data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. We tackle complex supply‑chain challenges across thousands of variables, and we seek talented people who want to help.

Join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply‑chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and others to deliver the highest safety and security standards while providing vast capacity at low cost. The role is located in Austin, TX.

The AIS Power & Cooling team needs a results‑oriented individual to own sourcing and supply management for data‑center power & cooling equipment. As a Category Manager, you will manage end‑to‑end global sourcing and supply‑chain for one or more categories, ensuring unconstrained supply at scale while maintaining low cost and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage global sourcing and supply‑chain strategies.

Drive strategic aspects of large, complex cross‑functional projects.

Develop and maintain supplier capacity modeling.

Understand demand inputs and position supply to support unconstrained growth at AWS scale.

Engage with global supply‑chain counterparts to drive best practices and initiatives.

Partner with engineering teams to drive NPI and value‑engineering initiatives.

Drive innovation through the supply‑chain and influence industry practices.

Create analytical reports to support decision‑making.

Manage supplier lead times and performance to meet AWS business requirements.

Serve as subject‑matter expert for customers, technologies, and markets.

Manage cross‑functional projects against plans and objectives to meet commitments and goals.

Identify and realize opportunities for sustainable, scalable relative advantage.

Travel up to 20% of the year.

Basic Qualifications

2+ years of program, project, or product management experience.

6+ years of related industry experience.

8+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent.

8+ years of high‑volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience.

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies.

Experience in global supply‑chain management and cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced consumer electronics product company.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies.

Experience negotiating with global suppliers with proven cost‑reduction track record.

Experience with procurement practices working with engineering, supply‑chain, and Tier 1 OEM partners.

Experience practicing best‑in‑class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should‑cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent).
