Product Management
Product Management at Capital One is a booming, vibrant craft that requires reimagining the status quo, finding value creation opportunities, and driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology.
Join our Product team and drive transformation for Capital One's business and technology. Our team is delivering modern technology, reimagined processes, and data standardization that solves critical business needs and customer pain points.
Capital One's Enterprise Resource Planning tool (ERP) is at the center of the Finance data ecosystem, responsible for closing the books on financials, managing associate travel and expense reports, and much more. This role will design and deliver human‑centered, scalable, resilient, and efficient solutions focused on the SaaS ERP through partnership with architects, designers, software engineers, process and accounting specialists. The role also requires leading and collaborating cross‑functionally to ensure alignment of the modernized underlying data models with Finance's target‑state architecture and integration patterns.
In this role, you'll learn the essentials of being a product manager, and we'll invest in you to grow in four key areas
Human Centered
Collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria, identifying and elevating any need for additional research to define future feature design.
Breakdown business epics into features and further into user stories, driving the team toward the lowest effort or Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for a valid feature test.
Business Focused
Demonstrate a growth mindset by using hypothesis‑driven assessment of data to ensure your product or feature delivers on real business needs.
Own and prioritize feature development roadmaps, ensuring all necessary processes and procedures are followed to manage risk.
Technology Driven
Work autonomously in an agile environment to conduct research and develop features that utilize new and evolving technology.
Collaborate with designers, technologists, data scientists and subject‑matter experts to build cutting‑edge solutions for customers.
Deliver well‑managed product platforms for customers by seeking to understand technology trends and architecture strategy.
Transformational Leadership
Actively participate in horizontal forums, harnessing a network of trusted relationships among tech teams, designers, key internal stakeholders and partner teams.
Articulate a succinct product roadmap to deliver business value and share it with stakeholders, elevating your team's results and becoming a product matter expert.
We want you if you are:
Intellectually Curious.
You ask why, explore, and are not afraid to blurt out crazy ideas or follow an email chain for weeks. You are comfortable with ambiguity, hungry to learn, and seek new challenges.
Communicator & Influencer.
You can communicate complex ideas clearly regardless of your audience and rally associates to work with you.
Do‑er.
You are biased toward action, try things, and accept occasional failures. You can get around roadblocks, stay focused on your goals, and prioritize work effectively.
Passionate & Customer Focus.
You care about growing others, bringing them together, and have the desire and ability to connect with external or internal customers to fully understand their needs.
Learner.
You have an appetite for learning new technologies while exhibiting humility when asking for help.
