Senior Transportation Project Manager role in the Phoenix/Tempe area. Lead high-impact transportation projects that connect communities and improve lives. This position supports Jacobs’ mission to deliver innovative infrastructure and public-safety outcomes while collaborating with engineers, project managers, and clients in a dynamic, client-facing environment. Base pay range: $105,500.00/yr - $190,900.00/yr. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience; discuss specifics with your recruiter. Responsibilities
Lead large-scale, multidisciplinary transportation projects from concept through construction, locally and regionally Collaborate with engineers and project managers in a dynamic, client-facing environment Influence business strategy and drive innovation across the Southwest Expand client interface, relationships, and understanding Grow professionally while mentoring junior engineers and shaping the next generation of engineers Work on traditional and alternative delivery projects, including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CMAR, and P3 Manage complex transportation and transit design projects Lead design teams to meet schedules, budgets, and client expectations Solve technical challenges with ingenuity and strategic thinking Select and subconsultant team; support business development and client engagement across Arizona and the Southwest Coordinate, conduct and manage project meetings Ensure quality control and assurance actions per Jacobs’ processes Collaborate with global teammates to maximize digital tools and design capabilities Contribute to Jacobs’ mission of exceeding expectations and doing things right Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering AZ Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license 15+ years of transportation experience, with focus on roadway, bridge, drainage, traffic, and/or transit design 10-15 years of project management experience in transportation design Demonstrated leadership, communication, technical and team coordination skills Experience with ADOT, county and municipal projects Strong analytical, time management, and communication skills Ideal/Supplemental
Experience in OpenRoads Designer, InRoads, AutoCAD, and MicroStation DOT delivery Recognition as a transportation industry thought leader Experience with multi-discipline infrastructure design and construction Proven success with alternative delivery models (Design-Build, CMAR, P3) Established client relationships in Arizona Seasoned experience with ADOT engineering construction package delivery Benefits and Additional Information
