As an
Operations Supervisor
you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and compliant waste collection, disposal, and recycling operations. Will be responsible for allocating resources (people and equipment) to meet customer needs, reviewing and resolving customer complaints, ensuring that employees are meeting safety and compliance standards, and partnering with the District Manager to create and monitor budget and P&L results. Supervise and coordinate the activities of waste collection, disposal, and recycling teams Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement Manage and train staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance Coordinate with other departments to optimize route planning and resource allocation Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution Maintain detailed records of operations, including service logs, maintenance schedules, and compliance reports Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe working environment Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field preferred Proven experience as an operations supervisor, preferably in the waste management or transportation industry Strong knowledge of waste management practices and regulations Excellent leadership and team management skills Proficiency in using operational management software and other relevant computer applications Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish or Creole Seniority Level
