Job Description The Private Wealth New Accounts Opening Manager leads the team responsible for account opening new accounts trust, investment, and banking platforms and legal reviews. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, deep knowledge of fiduciary and regulatory requirements, and the ability to review and validate complex legal documentation. The manager ensures operational excellence, compliance, and a superior client experience throughout the account opening process.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership to the New Accounts team.
Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Set performance goals and monitor KPIs to ensure timely and accurate account openings.
Account Opening Manager
Manage the end-to-end process for opening banking, new trust, and investment accounts, including documentation review and verification.
Ensure compliance with governing documents, state statutes, and company policies.
Strong in legal documents
Coordinate with internal teams (Trust Officers, Investment Consultants, Operations, Private Wealth Advisor) to facilitate timely account setup.
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the initial point of contact for clients during the onboarding process.
Provide clear communication regarding requirements, timelines, and next steps.
Deliver exceptional client service to build trust and encourage long‑term relationships.
Compliance & Risk Management
Adhere to all regulatory and corporate compliance standards, including KYC, Beneficial Owner Rule, and fiduciary requirements.
Monitor risk indicators and elevate issues as needed.
Complete all required risk management and compliance training.
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with Private Wealth team, Banking, Trust, and Investment teams to align account setup with client objectives.
Partner with Market Leader, Market Director, Wealth Advisors, Bankers to ensure smooth transition from onboarding to account opening.
Operational Excellence
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all new accounts.
Track and report on account opening metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Ensure timely resolution of any discrepancies or client concerns.
Maintain accurate records and audit trails for all account openings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years in Private Wealth Management, trust, investment, and account opening leadership.
5+ years in trust administration, investment services, or account management.
Strong knowledge of fiduciary law, trust accounting, investment products, and compliance (AML/KYC, Beneficial Owner Rule).
Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and people management skills.
Expertise in reviewing legal documents and managing complex account structures.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and client relationship management abilities.
Proficiency in trust/investment systems and digital onboarding platforms.
This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at a U.S. Bank location, while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

Pay Range: $98,345.00 - $115,700.00. The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first.
