Job Description
Assistant Manager / Shift Runner
Responsibilities:
Operate all equipment and use proprietary technology.
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage and walk‑in cooler.
Prepare all products and receive/process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Provide orientation and on‑the‑job training to new hires.
Conduct inventory counts and create schedules/staffing for the store.
Run food and labor while supervising shift staff.
Lead the team through effective communication and written instructions.
Process orders verbally with customers and coworkers over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
Must be able to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately with speed.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions Environment includes varying weather conditions, in‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F in cooler to 90°F+ in some work areas, hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F+, and exposure to food odors and cornmeal dust. Tasks require standing, walking, lifting, pushing, climbing, stooping, and reaching. Hands‑and‑eye coordination is continuous throughout the day.
