Quality Assurance Manager – Food Manufacturing
A fast-growing food manufacturer is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead all quality and food safety programs. This leader will oversee compliance, team development, process improvement, and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Lead quality assurance and food safety activities
Manage and develop the QA team and QA Supervisor
Ensure compliance with FDA, SQF, OSHA, GMP, and HACCP standards
Oversee audits, sanitation programs, and regulatory documentation
Investigate customer complaints and corrective actions
Manage vendor quality and incoming material inspections
Partner with Production, R&D, and Purchasing to improve processes
Maintain the SQF system and ensure audit readiness
Support ERP and SAP functions within the QA department
What You Bring
5–10 years of QA or food safety experience in food or beverage manufacturing
Strong understanding of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, OSHA, and regulatory audits
Experience with FDA, USDA, Kosher, Halal, and third–party certifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field; SQF Practitioner
Spices manufacturing experience is a plus
Strong communication, leadership, and continuous improvement mindset
