About the Laboratory The Dr. Bhamla Lab at Frugal Science Academy operates in an academic research environment focused on innovative, cost‑effective scientific investigations. The lab utilizes a variety of instruments and equipment to support experiments and demonstrations within biological and related sciences.
Job Summary Provide support services in the operation and maintenance of the laboratory. Duties include setting up, operating, maintaining, and cleaning equipment; preparing samples; ordering supplies; and maintaining accurate records. The role collaborates directly with faculty, staff, and students.
Responsibilities
Setup, operate, and maintain instruments and other equipment used in laboratory tests and experiments.
Order supplies and materials as required; maintain inventory records.
Set up laboratory media and equipment for demonstrations.
Clean instruments, glassware, and other lab equipment as needed.
Prepare and process laboratory samples for assigned tests.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma, GED certificate, or vocational school diploma.
Experience:
Up to two years of related laboratory work experience.
Skills:
Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and procedures; inventory management; proficiency with computer applications.
