Project Manager Beacon EmbeddedWorks is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead cross‑functional teams in product development and manufacturing projects. The role requires excellent communication, planning, and customer relationship skills.

Summary As Project Manager, you will plan, track, and coordinate NPI programs and NRE projects. You’ll manage new product launches, engineering schedules, budgets, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

Project manage multiple internal NPD and external NRE projects.

Coordinate new product launches to meet release target dates.

Coordinate engineering schedule, cost, and technical inputs across teams.

Maintain margins for assigned NRE projects and position Beacon for follow‑on business.

Identify and communicate risk and opportunity areas: design schedule, project cost, on‑time delivery, and customer satisfaction.

Facilitate logistics and time/cost management of assigned projects/programs.

Establish and manage a project plan from launch to full production release that reflects all activities across Beacon functional departments.

Schedule, hold, and document team meetings per Beacon policy to ensure all significant project issues and tasks are addressed.

Communicate effectively with customers on project updates, including schedule, cost, purchase orders, invoices, risks, contingencies, and mitigations.

Execute on‑time delivery of project activities across multiple concurrent projects.

Provide status updates to sales, engineering, product, and operational management.

Ensure assigned projects follow Beacon Quality Management System process and meet ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 requirements.

Document and manage project risks, actions, issues, and decisions (RAID).

Author project documents, templates, and processes.

Ensure invoices are accurate and timely, and communicate with customers on current AR policies.

Work with functional management to assign team members to accounts/programs to meet project goals.

Support sales and business development with RFP and RFQ activities for NPD, NRE, and manufacturing quotes.

Maintain and improve net promoter score (NPS) for assigned accounts.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or higher certification.

4+ years’ experience in engineering project management.

Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook) desired.

Excellent verbal and written communication and strong negotiation skills.

Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Experience with quality management systems in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with rapidly changing priorities to ensure superior customer satisfaction.

Desire to grow into additional responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with manufacturing and/or operations planning.

Experience managing external development teams.

Experience with regulated markets (e.g., medical, aerospace).

Project Management Professional (PMP).

2+ years’ experience with production‑related planning systems such as Intuitive, Empower, OpenAir or similar systems.

Physical Demands

Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.

May occasionally lift and/or move up to ten pounds.

Work Environment

Position is on site at Eden Prairie, MN location.

Noise level is usually quiet, typical of an office environment. Some tasks may require eye protection.

Travel may be required infrequently.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

Full‑time position.

Typical workday Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm with some flexibility.

Overtime may be necessary to complete required results.

Work Authorization

Candidate must meet definition of “US Person” under ITAR/EAR regulations.
