Job Summary The Inventory & Shipping/Receiving Supervisor is responsible for leading the warehouse team and overseeing all material handling operations, including incoming raw materials, finished goods inventory accuracy, and outbound shipments. This role ensures proper flow of materials to support production, maintains accurate inventory records, drives warehouse efficiency, and implements safe logistics practices. This is a critical position supporting startup operations and long-term success of the Buffalo facility.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily activities of shipping, receiving, and inventory team members
Maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
Ensure timely and accurate receipt of inbound materials and proper documentation
Coordinate outbound shipments with carriers to meet customer delivery expectations
Monitor inventory transactions and resolve discrepancies with purchasing, production, and quality
Maintain warehouse layout, organization, and safety standards for efficient operations
Perform cycle counts and support monthly/quarterly physical inventories
Oversee forklift and material handling safety and training requirements
Partner with production planners to support continuous product flow and minimize downtime
Use ERP, scanning, and warehouse systems to track inventory and shipment status
Drive continuous improvement in warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and throughput
Prepare warehouse performance reports as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum 3 years of warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role
Experience in a manufacturing environment required; extrusion or plastics preferred
Strong understanding of shipping documentation, freight handling, and carrier coordination
Working knowledge of ERP systems and inventory control processes
Forklift experience required; certification or ability to obtain
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving needs
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on warehouse floor as needed

Opportunity to build warehouse systems and standards from the ground up
Compensation & Benefit Information Salary Pay Range: $25.00-$35.00 per hour dependent on experience (pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living)
Bonus/Incentive Pay: A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
