Job Description and Position Requirements Lehigh County Extension 4-H is seeking applicants for a part-time program assistant.
Job Duties
Assist in planning and delivering 4-H school enrichment programs and activities
Assist in program marketing and promotion for outreach to new youth audiences
Assist in coordination, communication, and supervision for 4-H members and their families in programs
Requirements, Qualifications, and Competencies
Possess an understanding of child and youth development and be able to effectively teach and interact with youth
Knowledge of educational principles and necessary presentation preparation skills
Familiarity with the 4-H program
Good communication, organization, and record‑keeping skills
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in education, science, engineering or volunteer development
Operation of a motor vehicle as part of job duties
Schedule
Part time up to 20 hours per week between 8 am and 4 pm
Occasional evening and weekend commitments
Compensation:
The starting rate for this job is $20/hour.
Background Checks / Clearances This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will also be required.
