Playa Bowls is New Jersey’s original Acai Shop founded in 2014. We serve high‑quality, innovative products to support healthier lifestyles and inspire fun, excitement, and togetherness. Our focus is to deliver a bowl full of deliciousness to every guest with authenticity and passion for the Playa way.

Who You Are You’re a positive, enthusiastic people‑person with a passion for fruit, superfoods, and healthy living. As a Shift Leader you’re an extension of management, trusted to lead the shop when management is absent. You delegate responsibilities effectively, thrive in fast‑paced environments, and enjoy entrepreneurial thinking and occasional food puns.
What You’ll Do
Manage and maintain food quality, discarding product when necessary.
Delegate work to employees responsibly.
Lead opening and closing shifts.
Issue refunds and resolve customer issues politely and professionally.
Track and record inventory levels throughout and at the end of each shift.
Count register, safe, and deposit.
Communicate with management about any issues during the shift.
Ensure all tasks meet company standards in a timely manner.

Requirements
Available to work 5 shifts a week, minimum 30 hours.
Available on weekends, with work schedules as required.
Pass PB Food Safety certification within 3 months of employment.
Essential Physical Functions
Remain stationary for prolonged periods.
Lifting or moving 25‑40 pounds occasionally.
Retrieve items from high and low shelving, fridge/freezer, and under counters.
Tolerate occasional loud environments.
Move around inside the establishment to access POS, assemble orders, clear tables, restock inventory, etc.
