Scope The CAM Operator will inspect, modify, and contribute to the initial development of producing printed circuit boards based on customer requirements and data files. The role ensures that specifications for new and repeat orders are accurately created and inspected.
Duties and Responsibilities
Use CAM tools to perform design rule analysis of PCBs.
Run DRC on incoming travelers from the Planning Department to identify discrepancies between customer specifications and PCB design images.
Report discrepancies to Planning and communicate deviations.
Modify design data to meet customer requirements.
Adjust aspects such as line widths, pad sizes, data codes, etch compensation and annular rings to comply with engineering standards.
Create computer files for panelizing, drill/routing and output.
Create array drawings to complete PCB layout.
Accurately complete DFM paperwork.
Verify that all design and special notes are implemented on traveler.
Resolve design issues immediately.
Communicate with process engineering, planning, sales, and customers regarding specifications or issues.
Complete all internal documentation accurately.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
Proficient knowledge of Frontline Genesis 2000.
Microsoft Office software.
Strong application and working knowledge of PCB features with proficiency in CAM for manufacturing tooling.
Ability to interpret IPC and customer specifications.
Basic understanding of CI modeling.
Excellent computer and multitasking skills.
Read and interpret prints, travelers, drawings, stack‑ups, and CAM papers.
English reading, writing and communication skills.
Organizational, basic math, reasoning, problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
Patience and willingness to learn and ask questions.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
2–5 years of experience with CAM in the PCB industry.
NC programming and pre‑CAM experience required.
Work Environment
Fast‑paced open office environment with surrounding noise and frequent interruptions.
Occasional overtime.
Interface with video display terminals and interaction with varied groups to meet deadlines.

Base salary range: $44,735 – $70,710. Additional compensation may include an annual or quarterly company bonus, and shift premium for alternative shifts.
Export Statement Workers must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and applicable ITAR, EAR, OFAC regulations. This includes identifying ITAR products on the manufacturing floor, restricting access to U.S. citizens and permanent residents, recognizing foreign visitors by badge differentiation, following authorization procedures for foreign visitors, managing vendor approvals, and ensuring proper handling of shipments.
