Calculate payables accurately and efficiently based on established guidelines and sales data. Process payments received from various sources, ensuring accurate application to customer accounts. Conduct thorough research on open accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise. Handle billing processes, including generating invoices and statements, and ensuring timely delivery to customers. Engage in collections activities, contacting customers to follow up on overdue payments, negotiate payment arrangements, and maintain accurate records of collection efforts. Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales and Customer Service, to resolve customer inquiries and provide exceptional support to students. Maintain up‑to‑date and accurate documentation of all transactions, communications, and customer interactions. Monitor and analyze accounts payable data, identify trends, and report any potential issues or opportunities to management. Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounts payable processes. Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Coordinator or in a similar role, preferably in an educational institution or related industry. Solid understanding of commission calculations, payment processing, billing, and collections procedures. Proficiency in using accounting software and other relevant tools for accounts receivable management. Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interface with students and colleagues at all levels. Exceptional customer service orientation and the ability to resolve issues professionally and efficiently. Proactive problem‑solving abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and handle a high volume of transactions.
