Responsibilities
Work with a “Safety First” mindset, applying Toyota Production System principles.
Support daily operations and maintenance for plant utility and building systems – power, cooling water, compressed air, HVAC, water supply, wastewater, dust collection.
Perform building and site maintenance: roofs, interior trim, exterior, parking lots, sidewalks, land management.
Electrical tasks: lighting, outlets, troubleshoot electrical problems.
Mechanical tasks: pumps, piping, valves, drilling/tapping, equipment repairs, cooling tower repair, heating/cooling units, fire systems.
Plumbing tasks: repair toilets, urinals, lift stations, cooling towers, chemical lines.
Quality checks: water, pH, chlorine, air compressor, switchgear, chemical checks, fire systems.
Preventive maintenance: cooling tower, MVR, boiler, lift station, bathroom, HVAC, HVU, vacuum filter, water systems.
Office suite work: sheet rock, painting, flooring, ceiling tile, lighting repair, remodeling, desk repair, chair repair, signs, doors.
Computer work: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SmartSheet, Maximo – write instructions, complete work orders.
Qualifications
Experience in facilities maintenance in a manufacturing industry.
Team environment experience (≥2 years).
Knowledge of Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi PLC programming (≥2 years).
Preventive maintenance experience (≥2 years).
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills (≥2 years).
Ability to read/understand mechanical & electrical schematics (≥2 years).
Willingness to work weekends and evenings.
Pass required assessments and successful failure diagnosis tests.
Bonus (Preferred)
Technical college degree (2‑ or 4‑year).
Experience with change‑over or start‑up of new systems (≥2 years).
