Quality Control Inspector II
Hours & Schedule Work schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, starting at 9 am. Tuesday is a 12‑hour day; the remaining days require 7 hours. Flexibility for early morning or late evening hours, as well as weekend work, may be required.
Job Description The Quality Control Inspector II is responsible for inspecting and receiving human and porcine tissue, conducting batch record reviews, managing cleaning protocols, cycle counts, and handling product/tissue quarantine, media changes, and disposition activities. The role ensures these activities comply with all relevant procedures, regulations, and established specifications. This position supports the department by engaging in data trending, audit support, documentation updates, and providing technical assistance to teams. Additionally, the role involves identifying, coordinating, and implementing 5S and Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Perform receiving and reviewing activities following applicable procedures.
Communicate with management and escape issues as needed, lead by example, and collaborate cross‑functionally.
Train, develop, motivate, and counsel the team to strengthen core skills.
Quarantine non‑conforming products and complete necessary transactions for acceptable or rejected items.
Review and monitor area processes and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Track and follow up on issues, updating metrics regularly.
Maintain 5S standards and ensure the team has necessary supplies.
Complete all required training on time.
Perform cleaning and cycle counting as required by procedures.
Conduct media changes as needed.
Participate in cross‑functional collaborative efforts and attend quality meetings.

Master’s degree candidates are welcome
Ability to carry and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working with human and porcine raw materials and finished goods
Willing to work with potentially biohazardous materials, including cadaveric tissue
Ability to walk, lift, bend, squat, stoop, stretch, sit and stand for long periods
Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions
Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks under time constraints
Work Environment The work environment involves lab, warehouse, and manufacturing settings. Employees must be comfortable handling potentially biohazardous materials. The role also emphasizes the importance of adhering to 5S and Lean Six Sigma standards.
Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Branchburg, NJ.
Pay and Benefits Pay range: $20.00 – $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
