On-site at McGee & Co.'s Visual Warehouse & Studio space located in Draper, Utah (strongly preferred)

Reports To: VP of Product

Overview:

We’re looking for a Contract Project Manager to support our Product Development team during a period of high volume and limited bandwidth. This role will help keep product timelines, communication, and cross‑functional coordination on track—ensuring we meet key approval dates and move efficiently from concept to sample to production.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in managing complex product calendars. They thrive in fast‑moving environments, communicate clearly across teams and vendors, and consistently anticipate next steps rather than wait for direction.

Project & Timeline Management

Maintain and manage the full product development calendar, including key milestones, sample deadlines, approval dates, and vendor checkpoints.

Track progress against critical timelines; flag risks early and drive solutions to keep workstreams moving.

Support cross‑functional teams by ensuring all deliverables and dependencies are clearly communicated and aligned.

Cross‑Functional Communication

Serve as a coordination hub between Merchandising, Product Development, Sourcing, Creative, and other internal stakeholders.

Communicate timelines, updates, and action items with clarity and consistency.

Partner with external vendors and agents to manage sample status, follow‑ups, and next steps.

Support the collection of sample updates, approvals and feedback to keep projects on time.

Oversee sample trackers, product data updates, and any shifts in timing or requirements.

Reach out to vendors for key product information that merchants need to finalize purchase orders.

Operational Support

Document decisions, changes, and next steps to ensure everyone stays aligned.

Identify gaps in process or communication and offer solutions that improve flow.

Step into existing workflows quickly with minimal onboarding, while maintaining a high level of self‑management and accountability.

What You'll Bring

3–5+ years of project management experience, preferably in product development, merchandising, or consumer goods.

Experience working with cross‑functional teams, overseas vendors, or agents is strongly preferred.

Proven track record of managing timelines and driving workstreams to completion.

Excellent communication, organization, and follow‑through skills.

High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.

Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate upcoming needs and independently drive next steps.

Strong working knowledge of project management tools and Excel/Google Sheets; Asana and Airtable

Product calendars are clear, accurate, and consistently followed.

Teams stay aligned and informed, with fewer surprises or missed deadlines.

Sample management and vendor communication run smoothly.

The PD team gains meaningful capacity relief while maintaining momentum and meeting key dates.
