Position Summary The Quality Control Manager (QCM) in the federal construction industry is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of construction projects in compliance with all contractual standards. This role involves managing and coordinating quality control activities, implementing quality assurance procedures, and conducting inspections to verify that materials, workmanship, and project outcomes meet the required specifications. The QCM is also responsible for developing and maintaining a quality management system, addressing non‑conformance issues, and ensuring that corrective actions are taken as necessary. This position requires strong knowledge of federal construction standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices, as well as the ability to lead a team, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and ensure that all project deliverables meet or exceed established quality benchmarks. The QCM plays a critical role in the successful execution and completion of federal construction projects.

Project location in Los Angeles, CA
Salary Range:
$100,000 – $140,000 per annum
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop, administer, and ensure compliance with the Quality Control Plan for projects, following the Army Corps Three Phases of Control.
Certify that all submittals, plans, and specifications meet contract requirements, and oversee evaluations and testing by approved personnel or facilities.
Provide documented evaluations and corrective actions to maintain high-quality standards and minimize recurring issues.
Minimum Qualifications
OSHA 30‑hour certification.
USACE CQM Certification.
Experience with Procore and RMS.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PDF.
Proven experience as a QCM on similar federal projects.
In‑depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.
Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
Additional Qualifying Factors As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre‑employment drug screening (post‑accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
Necessary Physical Requirements The position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co‑workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times is essential.
Working Conditions The job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise.
