Sr VDC Coordinator – Jacobs Jacobs is looking for a Senior VDC Coordinator to join our data center team.

Base pay range $111,100.00/yr – $152,700.00/yr

Locations On-site in Baton Rouge, LA. The role is eligible for the U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off policy and hybrid work options.

Responsibilities

Design and implement wireless telecommunications systems for data center buildings, including Commercial DAS, Public Safety DAS, LMR, Site Radio, RoIP, Wi‑Fi and Tower Studies.

Lead system design using iBwave, EDX, Atoll and LMR Planner; coordinate with BIM designers to produce drawing packages.

Conduct site visits, review technical documents and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Prepare and maintain design schedules, budgets and risk mitigation plans.

Qualifications

Technical or associate’s degree from an accredited institution.

Minimum 5 years’ experience designing wireless telecommunications systems (LMR, Site Radio, RoIP, DAS).

Proficiency in iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner or equivalent modeling tools; iBwave Level 2 Certification required.

Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 1221, NFPA 1225, IFC section 510 and FCC Part 20/90.

Experience troubleshooting wireless system issues, understanding Noise Floor, SNIR, Return Loss and VSWR.

Excellent project management skills; experience creating project schedules, budgets and mitigating risk.

Self‑motivation to coordinate across disciplines, project managers and clients.

Preferred Extras

Experience designing Wi‑Fi systems.

EDX or Motorola design certifications.

Multiple OEM product certifications.

EIT, PE or related engineering degree.
