A company in the utility industry is seeking an experienced IT Network & Security Expert to design, secure, and optimize our enterprise infrastructure. This is a full onsite position supporting a critical aerospace manufacturing environment, where reliability, security, and real‑time collaboration are essential. You will take ownership of network architecture, firewall management, and security controls to ensure our systems remain scalable, stable, and protected against evolving cyber threats.
You’ll join a global engineering organization where your work directly supports mission‑critical aerospace operations. Because this role is onsite, you’ll be closely partnered with engineering, manufacturing, IT support, and leadership to implement secure, resilient solutions in real time. You’ll work with industry‑leading technologies, including Palo Alto, Cisco, SD‑WAN, and modern security tooling, while contributing to the company's broader initiatives in compliance, modernization, and cyber maturity.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
5+ years of experience in network engineering and cybersecurity
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, MPLS, and VPNs
Hands‑on experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco switching, and Cisco Firepower
Proficiency with IAM, MFA, PKI, SSO, and identity‑driven security
Background in designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructures
Experience conducting security assessments, vulnerability scans, and incident response
Strong documentation, communication, and problem‑solving abilities
Desired Skills & Experience
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, Network+
Experience with Azure/AWS networking or security
Knowledge of SD‑WAN, NAC solutions (Cisco ISE), Wi‑Fi 6 technologies
Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST frameworks, GDPR, CMMC
Understanding of ITIL processes
Prior experience in SOC environments or threat analysis
