Kilpatrick, a large international law firm, is seeking a Trusts & Estates Paralegal for our Corporate Department in offices across Chicago, Atlanta, Raleigh, Winston, Dallas, Houston, New York and Washington, DC. Under the supervision of attorneys, the paralegal will support all types of corporate and commercial transactions and assist in trust administration, estate planning, probate, filing, and client communication.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Daily trust administration for multiple clients, including account management, letter preparation, and transfer forms.

Draft basic and advanced trust documents, wills, powers of attorney, and estate planning documents.

Manage and organize estate and probate files, prepare accounting and financial statements, docket court documents, and file records with courts and government offices.

Proofread documents for spelling, grammatical, and formatting errors.

Communicate directly with clients to provide updates or assist with accounting and tax needs.

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Paralegal certification preferred.

Minimum 3 years of progressive responsibility managing client trust accounts in a professional environment.

Law firm experience preferred.

High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, Lexis/Nexis, and internet research tools.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong written and oral communication.

Creative problem‑solving, independent initiative, maintain professional demeanor under stress, reliable team player, confidentiality of client information, perform well under pressure.

PAY & BENEFITS This full‑time position offers a competitive hourly range of $42.41 to $80.56 depending on location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, retirement plans, holidays, paid time off, and a hybrid schedule combining in‑office and remote work days.
