Molex is seeking a highly skilled
Senior EMI Engineer
to provide electromagnetic interference (EMI) design and compliance support for high-speed interconnect solutions, including
cages, connectors, and DAC, ACC, and AEC cable assemblies
for the data center market. This role will ensure robust EMI performance across Molex products, supporting next-generation networking and server platforms.
What You Will Do
Lead EMI design, analysis, and validation for high-speed connectors and cable assemblies.
Develop EMI mitigation strategies for cages, connectors, and cable products supporting 400G/800G and beyond.
Perform characterization and compliance testing using advanced tools (VNA, TDR, BERT, EMI chambers).
Collaborate with Signal Integrity and Mechanical Engineering teams to optimize designs for EMI performance.
Define EMI requirements and test plans aligned with IEEE, OIF, PCIe, and industry standards.
Support customer EMI troubleshooting and provide technical guidance during design-in phases.
Participate in industry standards committees and interoperability events.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to EMI best practices across the organization.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5 years of experience
in EMI/EMC standards and testing methodologies
Familiarity with simulation tools (HFSS, CST) and empirical test methods.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex technical challenges.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global teams.
Willingness to travel up to 20%.
What Will Put You Ahead
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
10+ years of experience
in EMI design and compliance for high-speed interconnects.
Hands-on experience with cages, connectors, and high-speed cable assemblies (DAC, ACC, AEC)
