Role Description This is a full-time Associate Attorney role, where the Associate Attorney will manage a caseload focusing on felony and misdemeanor criminal defense matters, in both district and county courts. The position requires the Associate Attorney to work 'on-site' and to appear 'in person' for court hearings. The primary responsibilities for the Associate Attorney includes, but is not limited to, providing legal advice to clients, conducting legal research, preparing and reviewing legal documents, representing clients in negotiations and court proceedings, and collaborating with other attorneys and team members within the firm to achieve favorable resolutions for clients.
Qualifications
Licensed attorney in good standing with State Bar of Texas
2+ years of criminal defense experience strongly preferred
Recent jury trial experience preferred
Knowledge of Clio case management preferred
Ability to use MS Office required and MacOS computers preferred
Strong research skills to analyze legal precedents and case law
Ability to manage and resolve disputes, secure agreements, and advocate in clients’ best interests
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a legal team and independently manage a caseload
$100,000–$140,000 salary (based on experience)
