Job Description The role of an Install Technician III plays a pivotal role in the successful installation and implementation of security systems, ensuring that our clients' needs are met with the highest level of quality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Installation lead, configure/program, and maintain a wide range of security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and other security technologies.

Proficiently install and terminate low-voltage cabling and conduit, ensuring that all installations adhere to industry standards and best practices.

Integrate, program, and troubleshoot various security system components to ensure they function as a cohesive unit, offering clients a comprehensive security solution.

Configure and program security equipment, such as cameras, access control panels, and alarms, according to project specifications and customer requirements.

Perform system tests and inspections to ensure the installed systems operate efficiently and meet quality standards.

Maintain accurate and detailed records of all installation activities, including wiring diagrams, configuration settings, as-built drawings, and project documentation.

Provide training and technical support to clients on system operation and functionality, addressing any concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards during installation projects to ensure a safe working environment.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues with security systems, ensuring minimal disruption to clients' operations.

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to coordinate and execute installation projects within specified timelines and budgets.

Manage junior technicians in the execution of installation projects to include training and mentoring.

Other duties assigned within reason of current role previously specified.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics or related field is preferred.

Lenel OnGuard Certification is required.

Security+ Certification is required.

7+ years proven experience in the installation and maintenance of security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.

Proven experience programming Lenel and Milestone technology.

Knowledge of low-voltage cabling, wiring, and termination techniques.

Familiarity with security equipment and software, including various hardware brands and manufacturers.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Ability to lead a team of Installers.

Ability to train other field personnel.

Requirements

United States Citizenship

Active Driver’s License

Travel within the DMV area with occasional overnight travel. Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.

Secret Security clearance required

Lenel OnGuard Certification is required.

Security+ Certification is required

Additional Information Salary Range: $48/hour - $53/hour
