Database Engineering Manager
Location: Irvine, CA
Employment type: Full‑time (onsite 2 days per week)
Base Pay Range USD 130,000.00/yr – 160,000.00/yr (actual pay based on experience)
Responsibilities
Lead and develop a small analytics engineering team, owning delivery of dashboards, reporting, and data models.
Own data warehouse architecture, schema design, and modeling decisions to ensure scalable, reliable analytics.
Partner with software engineering on ETL/ELT pipelines, integrations, and source system changes.
Optimize data performance, pipeline reliability, and storage costs while maintaining security and stability.
Establish standards for data quality, governance, access controls, and documentation across the data platform.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering with hands‑on technical ownership.
2+ years of experience managing or technically leading analysts or engineers.
Deep expertise in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake or Azure Data Warehouse) and advanced SQL.
Experience integrating and reporting on Salesforce Sales Cloud data, including custom objects and relationships.
Strong background in ETL/ELT tools, BI platforms, and data governance within regulated environments.
