The CMM Programmer is responsible for performing inspections and supporting data analysis. The role documents and communicates results in a timely fashion to maintain uninterrupted movement within the manufacturing process. The individual will also work closely with Quality Assurance, CNC Programmers, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Production & Braze/Special Process to ensure that all inspections are thoroughly completed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strives towards a culture of proactive safety.
Create CMM programs with PC‑DMIS software (from SolidWorks models, drawings & applicable documents).
Create Absolute Arm programs.
Document measurements required for First Article Inspections / AS9102.
Conduct mechanical, visual & final inspections.
Recommend new metrology‑based technologies toward improving our overall capabilities.
Complete quality‑related and continuous‑improvement project work.
Participate in investigations of root cause and corrective actions / implement preventative actions.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Level 1, 2 and/or 3 PC‑DMIS Certification
– Preferred .
Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT).
Ability to interpret technical drawing and specifications toward programming.
Spatial awareness of basic machining practices & CMM setups.
Understanding of Statistical Process Controls / AS9103.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing
– Preferred .
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
