Description
The Instrument & Electrical Technician II I will be required to work in a team environment to accomplish the maintenance objectives identified by the Maintenance Superintendent. R esponsible for PLC programming and RSLogix 5000 troubleshooting. R esponsible for the safe and proper installation , maintenance , and repair of all plant instrumentation and electrical equipment , as well as trouble shooting and maintaining
servers, internet connections, W i- F i connections ,
battery back-up systems, and security cameras . Duties also include calibration of crucial equipment such as
chemical tank transmitters, rewiring of buckets, new equipment installs, responding to plant needs during scheduled on call hours , control valve work and tuning, maintaining proper documentation of equipment data files and work orders in Catalyst while contributing to
the overall
wellbeing of the plant.
RESPONSIBILITIES
All Duties of I&E Tech I and 2 plus local IT issues including internet and Wi-Fi connections , switch checks , battery back-up systems, security camera s , new IT equipment set up and maintenance
Follow all established safety procedures for safe maintaining of all plant equipment
Ensure proper record keeping of calibrations in equipment data files
Perform calibrations and repair of p H sensors, p ressure, t emperature, and f low transmitters
Maintain plant Allen Bradley DCS system, PLC's and supporting instrumentation
Provide leadership in professionalism and ethics as well as training and guidance for maintenance technicians needing more knowledge with the electrical systems
Work with operations and supervision to solve plant problems
Understand and support QSH&E goals and objectives , and on-going improvement plans and activities
Work directly with and oversee vendors on projects
Manage projects based in the I&E field of work to include soliciting bids and quotes on equipment and installs and overseeing the contracted workers when necessary
Telecommunications and Networking in plant to include communications with Energy and corporate IT professionals
Low voltage systems
Development of systems for projects and future expansions
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in biodiesel and/or bio-fuels industry desirable .
Minimum
of 5
year s experience as a n I&E Tech
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Lift 50 lbs occasionally. Must be able to move from place to place to all areas of production. Must be able to climb ladders or platforms. Must be able to wear all safety and production related equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Work environment varies from an office, Plant production and outside climate conditions, based on the situation. Noise level varies upon which area of production employee is working in.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE Monday thr ough Thursday and Tuesday through Friday, working 10-hour shifts and other hours to be determined . Occasionally extended hours or changes in schedule will be required as special circumstances arise.
