Supervisory IT Cybersecurity - Lead System Administrator
Join the Air Force Civilian Service as a full‑time Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (SYSADM/NETWORK), Lead System Administrator – Silo Technician (GG‑2210‑13). The role will be based at the 367th Cyberspace Operations Squadron, Joint Mission Operations Center – Texas, Joint Base San Antonio – Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
Pay and Benefits Base pay range: $114,332 – $156,256 per year. Relocation expenses may be paid, and recruitment and retention incentives may be available based on experience. The position is a Cyber Excepted Service (CES) role with a 3‑year probationary period. Veterans’ preference is documented per DoDI 1400.25.
Responsibilities
Act as a first‑level supervisor, planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory Mission Information Manager positions.
Perform senior IT specialist duties, providing a wide range of IT services to support critical garrison and distributed cyber Information Warfare enabling platforms.
Apply advanced knowledge of IT systems to isolate problems between hardware, systems, and applications, and to measure system performance.
Plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of the organization; maintain up‑to‑date awareness of technological advances.
Qualifications / Requirements
U.S. citizenship required.
Must obtain and maintain a “Top Secret/SCI” security clearance.
Required to undergo counter‑intelligence‑scope polygraph examination.
Must obtain and maintain an Information Assurance certification within 6 months of assigned duties.
Designated as a Drug Test Designated Position.
Knowledge of military, civilian, and contract services policies, procedures, and governing documents.
Knowledge of cyber operational activities, weapon systems, and command, control, and mission processes, systems, and applications.
Knowledge of IT management information systems and applications software technology to isolate causes of problems and to measure system performance.
Knowledge of IT management information system requirements and application software development techniques required in carrying out complex project assignments.
