Desktop Support Technician
Contract position based out of Jeffersonville, OH.
Pay range: $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
Position Overview The Desktop Support Technician provides on‑site technical support to end users, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and configuration of IT equipment, while delivering excellent customer service in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on‑site support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across operating systems and applications.
Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and software.
Assist with network connectivity issues and ensure proper configurations.
Perform routine maintenance, updates, and system checks.
Document and track issues using a structured ticketing process.
Collaborate with IT team members to resolve complex technical problems.
Provide training and guidance to end users on IT‑related topics.
Maintain inventory of IT equipment, peripherals, and supplies.
Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and procedures.
Required Skills
Desktop support and troubleshooting
Hardware and software installation/configuration
Customer service and communication skills
Basic account and system administration
Imaging and deployment processes
Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS)
Understanding of network protocols and connectivity
Preferred Qualifications
Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) are a plus
